Hello, just need a little help locating the door control module on my 2008 4 runner sr5. Tried look under steering wheel- right side but all I see is a connector junction taped together. Thanks for the help.

If you are looking for the Body ECU, found this bit of info that might be useful. From a Tacoma forum....
"The body ECU is located on the back on the junction block (fuse box) under the driver's dash. You need to pull the fuse box and then look on the backside where the wiring harnesses and relays are. It's contained in the smaller black "cover"."

Thank you very much for the replies. I will check them this weekend. I am troubleshooting an issue where the computer is not detecting that the driver door is open all the other doors are normal. The switch is ok because the light on the door itself does work as it should but not the dome lights. The more serious symptom is the door locks will automatically lock after unlocking with the remote and opening the driver door and then closing, which I think is because the computer did not sense that the door was opened which should then cancel the autolock feature. One solution I am thinking of is to just run a wire from the driver side to the rear driver-side switch so that both switch is in parallel meaning the computer will sense that the rear door is open. I would rather fix the problem keeping it original if I can figure out the root cause. Am happy to be here am a new member.
