Has anyone swapped out the 5th Gen rocker panels on a Limited for other less bulky panels to allow your foot to actually step on the running board? I have a set of TRD running boards that I can put the limited brackets on, but the issue is still the narrow surface because of the thick rocker panels.

I saw a YouTube video of someone buying the necessary pieces to convert rocker panels to the off-road version. He ran into a few issues but almost made it work right. I think he left some pieces off because he didn’t want to go any deeper replacing panels to make it work perfectly. I’ll look for the link.

Thanks. I actually have seen that YouTube and it had me thinking about doing something similar. He is not to articulate in describing parts #’s. I was hoping someone else had done what he did and could explain it in more accurate detail.

I just ordered this conversion for my 2021 limited. I went with the factory OEM Trail/SR5 trim. It was the same cost as Shrockworks and it’s OEM so it will look factory. I’ll post pics once completed today .
