This is almost impossible and I'm not sure there are parts available, but here goes.

The lift gate regulator rusted out on my 11 SR5, typical for the age, I ordered in a new one and began to remove the old one, everything was going very well in spite of the rust, lots of rust on the regulator itself, it was rotted right through and barely hanging on to the glass on the inboard bolts, the outboard ones came off without any troubles. I soaked the bolts with PB Blaster for a day, reapplying several times. Go back in my shop, put the infamous 10mm socket on the first one, applied some serious pressure, but only with a 3/8" drive standard length ratchet. The nylon? piece attached to the glass broke right off - oh crap! Deep breath, I go to the next one and with much more care and less pressure the same thing happens again - double crap! Now what do I do.

I can't seem to find these pieces anywhere, they are glued to the glass itself which I don't know if they can be removed and replaced. Any ideas? Enclosed photo shows piece that broke off, inboard one on each side, I need two of them and some instruction for replacement on the glass, the regulator I'm good with.2011 Tailgate regulator mount.jpg
