Leveling a bit, what to do with KDSS?

I've been reading through lift and leveling threads for weeks and I haven't seen a definitive answer for my situation (sorry if I missed it!) so I'm asking...

My plan is just to remove a bit of the rake by adding the Bilstein 5100's to the front only with the c-clip set to the 2nd slot from the bottom. This should raise the front by ~0.83 inches. To keep the KDSS happy and aligned properly can I just get the relocation blocks that mount to the LCA that will raise the mounting point for the ends of the sway bar? Or should I leave these alone and just add the Treaty Oak Spacer to where the end of the piston mounts to the sway bar (they look like they are more than 0.83")?

 

Neither. I put Eibach Pro Truck shocks on my OR, which do exactly the same thing as the Bilsteins, with the clip on the 2nd slot also. I did not add to or change anything with my KDSS and it works exactly as before. This is not enough of a change to warrant any spacers or relocation of any type.

If you feel the urge to move things around or add spacers, go for it, but again, it's not needed.

Do you plan to install the shocks yourself or have a shop do it?

 

Since I've installed multiple lifts on my old leaf spring Jeep I should be able to do it myself. The suspension on the 4R is a lot busier (more components) so I'm a little hesitant. Need to watch some more YouTube videos!

I just finished up my 3rd KDSS lift and this time I lowered the lower A arm instead dismantling the entire suspension, WAY easier. The only snag is the KDSS with this and I just ended up disconnecting it from the A arm then re-attaching after done. reconnecting is a little hard to fenagle it back but once I figured out the best height for the A arm it went back together fairly easy.

 

I also did it by lowering the LCA. I put a ratchet strap around the KDSS cylinder prior to lifting the front wheels off the ground, in an attempt to leave that cylinder as close to stock height as possible while the two swaybar ends were disconnected. I also put the weight of the vehicle back on the suspension prior to reconnecting the two swaybar ends. That seemed to aid in lining them up. Mostly.

I tried the strap as well but needed the wiggle room so had to take it off.
