Lean Correction. How much is normal?

    For you non kdss 4Runners with a lift, how much driver side lean do you have?

    I recently measured the lift height at all 4 corners to see how much rake and lean I have.
    Noticed the front end leans .4" left. The rear leans .5" left. Funny thing is I already have a .4" lean correction spacer on the driver rear.

    I think I'll swap the .4" lean correction spacer for a 1" spacer.

    I know it's a small detail that I could ignore. But the spacers are pretty cheap and easy to add.

    The question is:
    How much lean did you have with your lift?
    and
    What lean correction do you have in place and how much correction did it actually do?

    I'm not sure if it's because I have an older 5th Gen (2011), but when I swapped out the XREAS for OME there was no noticeable lean anywhere. All 4 corners pretty much matched and lifted where expected.

    Oooh look, another mod.....
    Try shifting gear (assuming you have gear back there) in your rear cargo area from the drivers side to the passenger side. Since the height difference is minimal, I bet shifting 50lbs from one side to the other will fix it.

    The thing I'm concerned with is if I add a one inch lean correction spacer will I get one inch of lift on that side?
    I'm curious if the spring compressing more due to the spacer will also lift the vehicle slightly. If that's the case maybe I should do a 3/4" spacer in order to get 1" of lean correction.

    Unfortunately I cant find a ton of posts about hub to fender measurements before and after lean correction. So I decided to ask the gurus here.

    I just installed a lift on my 2021 on Monday. I knew the vehicle already leaned to the driver’s side a bit so adjusted the front coil seat height up 1/4” and that seems to have worked for me. It was 1/2” down on that side and now measures hub to fender the same on both sides.

    The coil perch on the LCA isn’t directly in line with the knuckle so whatever spacer you add (barring any other unintended side effects like spring compressing more) will lift the vehicle more than the spacer height. I think you’re on the right track with the 3/4” spacer vs going for the full inch spacer

    When I install Ironman FCP I noticed driver side had more preload from factory. I bet this is why I don't have lean.

    Thanks for the input guys. I contacted Mike at Exit off road and he recommended a 3/4" spacer to to replace my .4" spacer on the rear driver side.
    He also pointed out that if I lower the front passenger side (by reducing pre load) it will lift the rear driver side. I didn't even consider that.
