Our 1997 3.4L 4runner has developed a brake fluid leak. Looks like it is either coming from the brake fluid reservoir, or / and between the master cylinder and the brake booster. Can't really tell, but can tell that the reservoir is leaking where it connects to the brake master cylinder.

Try to find the source, but sounds like the master cylinder will need to come out.

Thanks. I think I figured out that it is leaking around the grommits where the reservoir goes into the master cylinder. But will probably replace the whole master cylinder just to be sure. My son drives this, so I want to make sure he is safe.
