Hello all! Picked up a '24 4runner Off Road P in Underground a few weeks back. Came lifted with Fuel wheels and Bilstein shocks from the dealer. Sadly it's the last year they'll make a NA v6 4Runner so I think this thing will hold some value. Here's how she looks thus far...

Nah, it's going to depreciate and be worth little to nothing to most folks over time. As the turbo-4 becomes the new standard, people will appreciate the V6 less. The turbo-4 will get better over time and outshine the 4.0L V6 in every way. What you, and I for that matter, bought is old technology that holds very little advantage over what will become the new standard. Have fun with it though. I sure am.

That's a great looking 4Runner. Congrats! Whether they hold their value or not remains to be seen, but you can relax and enjoy your new 4Runner knowing that you have one of the most reliable vehicles on the road.

Nice ride, I love the color.

They ALL hold value, it's a Toyota thing. It's still a depreciating asset though, it will just depreciate at a lower rate than other vehicles.

I agree with Aces, as the 2.4 gets more accepted, then general public will turn their nose at the 4.0.

I already do, but everyone here tells me my opinion is wrong, lol.

I still think the 5th gen will become like the FJ Cruiser. These things will not be available cheap.

The thing with the FJ Cruiser is that they hardly sold any of them, so they're rare. I haven't looked at the stats, but I would bet that the single best year of 5th gen sales is more than total FJ sales.

I looked them up a while back to compare to Jeep, and the worst year of JK Wrangler sales still outsold the best year of FJ sales.

We shall see what we shall see. I just purchased my 2024 4Runner specifically for the same 4.0 V6 I had in my 2006 Tacoma. 17 Years of reliable use....A Turbo is going to last 17 years, a 4 banger at higher pressure mileage? We shall see what we shall see.

Funny enough, I have a 17-year-old turbo car on the original turbo with 233k miles. Don't know if you consider that high or not.

I also have a GR Corolla, little turbo 3 cylinder pumping out 300+ HP practically stock. I hope it'll last that long. o_O

Maybe Volvos made in Sweden and not China are a different breed?

You should compare the FJ Cruiser with the JK, not with the JKU. Apples to apples. I bet FJ Cruiser outsold the JK.

I think FJ Cruiser did better, I couldn't find 2007-2014 sales for Jeep
Let's see how the little funny Landcruiser FJ does mext year.

Welcome from Washington State. That's a sweet ride! Dang! I walked into the dealership fully intending to get the Underground and something happened....left waiting on a Terra to arrive on a cargo ship. No regrets but I'm a little envious for sure! Enjoy!
