I see Ford and Toyota putting huge grill emblems showing what company made the vehicle. Does anyone really like this? I saw a Dodge truck with the word Dodge all down the side of the truck. Why?

This is a horse, how do I know? It says HORSE down the entire side of the horse.

I’m with you, on previous projects I toke the badges off, even if that means bodywork. I don’t wanna do that again so I leave the badges or black them out - depending on the look but I can’t imagine to large them up.
A different story would be a motto car - like a vintage Audi Quattro in the design of the Röhrl rally car but that’s obvious

I agree. Regarding a rally car . I think the owner/team would expect some sort of reward for putting a huge logo on their car. A NASCAR emblem/logo that is 8 inches long cost about $100,000 dollars. If Toyota wants to discount the truck 50% I'll go with that.

I think DUPONT paid big bucks to Jeff Gordons owner.

I just wish Toyota had a better emblem. I have always had Toyotas and I never liked the current emblem.

Can't stand the oversize logo/name stamps. I haven't decided to de-badge my 4Runner yet,but might. Always took everything off my Blazers/Trailblazers.

Its only going to get bigger. Its not meant for those of us that know what vehicle is made by who.

Its for those in the public that know little and just so happen to see it driving down the road.

If you can't tell by looking, so be it!

I think a lot of us here would like pics of that! How did you do the tailgate?
Please share more. I bet it looks amazing!
    Thanks.

The badges lower left and right came off with floss. " Acetone removed the adhesive.
The 4runner logo on the frame around the license plate came off easily. There are 4 holes thst I filled from the back with a dab of bondo then smoothed flat from the front side. I abraded it and the door sill and the front cowl with green scotch brite. I cut out the center of the grill and bondo'd the holes and imperfections before abrading them.
The front lower valence was done the same way. The front and rear bumpers as well as the mounting hardware and receiver hitch were sand blasted and phosphated.
The Logo at the base of the rear window was removed and the holes plugged and sanded flat.
I sprayed all the " off truck" parts with the Upol "adhesion enhancer and then sprayed it with the normal raptor gun tinted grey. One coat cover it nicely.
The grill piece got a black grate from Lowes that stated life as a gutter screen.

I will send pics as soon as I do the body ( waiting on a warm day).
I am tinting the raptor desert dune (original color) so I don't have to redo the jambs etc.
I will do it reduced with an hvlp ( my first time) to get a smoother finish.
Should be a nice contrast against the grey textured finish.
Ive already welded the roof rack holes shut.
    Pictures forthcoming.
