For someone that doesn't already know what King suspension options to choose, this isn't very helpful.
Going directly to http://www.kingshocks.com/products/oem/toyota-oem/#tabs isn't very helpful either.
I think you may get more interest if you provided a better description since neither of the above options provide that.
Maybe I'm just off base here, but none of the above is helping me want to go with King products.

Either option specifies whether if your 5th gen t4r has KDSS or not, in which that set would be for you. We do encourage questions, and do invite anyone to reach out and message us so we can cater to your setup. Everyone's rig and needs are different, and we did not want to clutter this thread with a plethora of part numbers and information between the different generation 4runners.

Still doesn't provide a reason why these part numbers would make me select King products and why.

What exactly are you looking for? You haven’t said what you want to know in regards to the two options. Help us help you by explaining what you want to know instead of people trying to figure out what’s in your head.

not sure why it’s a fail. They listed parts numbers and descriptions. I PM’d them and they gave me excellent customer service and answered every question I had. Maybe be a little more patient before throwing mud around and use a little more of your cognitive thinking skills.

I don't think this thread is intended as a sales pitch. It's an opportunity for people who want Kings to save some money.

If you're interested in learning more about Kings or other suspension options, there are threads here discussing pretty much every product available for us.

Or, check out King's website. Although, I think their website isn't that great.

My intent with this thread was to provide an option for members to save some money on some shocks as it is posted in a Group-Buy section within the BST forum. If I were to type out and give reasoning on "why" someone should buy King, it seems a bit biased to me. Arguably, it would clutter up the original post and and cause some confusion. Ultimately, it is up to the consumer to make the decision on what products they want to use on their vehicle. I'd like to think a consumer will research and look into a product whether it be reading up threads or looking into reviews, however, I will still answer any questions anyone will have in regard to a specific product I offer for sale. As it is, questions are and will always be apart of research.
Yes, I am here to sell a product, but I am also here to provide the service of answering any product related questions. I exclusively offer King and Icon products as that is what I have experience in using on and off the road in different environments here in the West Coast.

As I stated earlier, I do invite anyone to ask questions in regard to their specific vehicle and their specific usage! :)
I just ask you do PM me so I can have a thread to keep track of our conversation.

Thank you @4X4Runner. I generally would love to talk suspension setup with him, but I will definitely leave the option up to him.

:D:D Thank you for the kind words @Antman, will be responding to your PM here shortly.

    Thank you @Thatbassguy :)

    This is really my point.
If I didn't already know what King product(s) I wanted, this group buy wouldn't call me to action, and that was the original reason for the fails.
If a group buy was intended to elicit purchases, I thought a posting about it might have some sort of reason why an uninformed person would want to buy.

Call me silly for not knowing everything about all group buys.
    My apologies.

    I get what you're saying.

I guess it seems to me that most people who would buy Kings would have already planned on it for awhile. They're expensive, high performance shocks that require frequent maintenance. I don't think many people would buy them on an impulse, unless they had a lot of extra money.

So, this thread is probably just meant to give people who have already chosen Kings an opportunity to get in on a good deal, rather than trying to persuade anyone to buy them.

And, as mentioned, if you were in the market and considering Kings, you could PM the OP and they would answer any questions you have.

I do not think you are being mislead Jenn, you will need rear springs, and if you go 3” or more you will need UCAs. I went for a 2” lift, and it was level in there install, but i wanted the rear with a little more hight than they had, so i went with 2 “ longer springs for the rear, and had them adjust the front to 2 1/2” . Oh yeah, i did not need the UCAs at 2 1/2” but added them anyway.

I think you typically have to buy those seperately? I had to buy seperate when I lifted my Tacoma. I think this is a great group buy and the price I got was better than anywhere I could find.

    Thanks guys.

Correct, King does not offer, nor sell a "kit" which includes the supporting pieces such as rear coils or upper arms. We do stock other brands to have a complete setup ready to go though however.

Jenn, just if you want to compare, give this place a call. They will give you a loaner if you set it up, ask for James he is a really good guy with great customer service. Tell him John sent you last four of my cell# is 9534 so he knows who i am. I get nothing for this, just like to help if i can.

Can’t vouch for a loaner but when I used to live down the street, the truck stop was a great place to get work done!
