SXS race just started. Ultra 4s go on Saturday.

I prefer the wide-open desert racing stuff but the coverage is great and the cars are insane. I'm planning to drive out for the day on Saturday.

 

Missed this thread during the races. Been out there in 2015 and 2019 for Hammers.

 

Yea, I was a little surprised at how quiet this thread was. 3rd year in a row. Just drove out for the day with my 2 daughters and met some friends. Really fun time.

 

Been watching some.

 

I don't really follow it, and I'm not really into the sxs stuff. But those damn crawlers that hit the rocks with speed is damn impressive.

 

A SXS finished first, physically, this year, 2nd on time. He made an error on navigation and had some penalties bumping him back to 8th.

There is also a desert race the weekend prior. The live coverage was amazing this year. I came
Home and watched 6 hours of it on Sunday.

Anyone located in socal should check it out next year. It’s a great way to stretch that 4x4.

 

Bummed about Sherpa Motorsports (4th gen Runner) breaking CVs, hope they return next year and take a podium spot in the EMC 4600 class.
