Will a kdss skid plate fit on my non kdss 2014 limited 4runner. I'm not concerned about the 1" loss of clearance as I only drive on gravel and paved roads. Also is there a difference in the gx460 and 4runner options. Tia

KDSS skid plates will fit non-KDSS vehicles, but non-KDSS skid plates need to be clearanced/cut to fit on KDSS vehicles.

I figured it would be the other way around. Do they bolt up differently? I figured the kdss version had a lower skid to accommodate the sway bar. The radiator support location should be the same. Is it the two rear bolt locations?

This is the big problem. This is the TRD skid plate (non-kdss) on a KDSS vehicle. The shape/location of the sway bar is the problem.

This is where it needs to be trimmed to work with a KDSS.

You can trim it much more precise if desired.

KDSS skid plates will have clearance for the sway bar that’s not needed on a regular one.

I'm asking about bolting up the kdss version on my non kdss. I'm not concerned with clearance, just asking if they bolt up?

Yes it will bolt up. It’s the same vehicle with the same frame. The only difference it the skid plates is the side clearance for the 2 different sway bar options.
