I've waited for almost two years for Crutchfield to get a Kenwood audio/video unit with a built in Garmin GPS in stock. I'm tired of the "directions" that turn a 4 hour trip into a 6 hour trip, among several more deficiencies in the factory head unit.

So, FINALLY they had three units in stock. Rubbing my hands together and grinning manically I put one in my shopping cart.

Then I clicked on the installation kit that includes all the required connectors to maintain steering wheel controls and new dashboard piece to replace the factory one. The kit's been in stock for the entire time I've been waiting.

What could go wrong, I mused.
