    In a whirlwind of events last week, I went from considering a slightly beat-up 3rd to discovering this lovely 2004 gal at a local dealership! She must have been driven minimally with only 182k miles on her and was probably kept in a garage. I'll be asking for some suggestions on upkeep of the small cosmetic damages at some point.

    What are your suggestions for first affordable mods?
    Little tight on finances at the moment, so while I'd love to be lifting and adding things like high clearance bumpers, that'll have to wait. Thanks!

    Save your money on mods and make sure all the maintenance is done first.

    @Dabigono Thank you!

    @xtremewlr Gonna have it checked out pretty soon. It had a pristine Carfax with incredibly regular maintenance so I'm hopeful she stays solid!

    @LuLu Yes, very small incident on the front passenger side. It looks like they clipped something or something tall knocked into it. Very little cosmetic damage except for that small plastic piece missing. Definitely considering getting a new light cap on the driver's side to match.

    Welcome and congrats. How's the frame? If you live in a state where they salt the roads, read up on 4th Gen frame rust immediately and take whatever mitigation steps you can.

    Also, you could do a suspension refresh quite affordably. People with late model Tacomas often remove their nearly new stock suspensions for lifts and put them up pretty cheap on FB Marketplace. Here's My first Tacoma takeoff with FJ springs for the rear cost the princely sum of $200. Probably a little more now but you get the idea.
