Before I purchased my Stealthbox I searched every post on here/Reddit and other forums.
I noticed no one really came out and said it was worth it, it was either to expensive for most or not loud enough.

I purchased equipment from https://www.crutchfield.com for the first time, highly recommended over Amazon because they will send you the OEM wiring adapters and universal speaker mounts for my specific vehicle for free.

    (2) Rockford Fosgate T2652-S (Front)
    (4) Rockford Fosgate R165-S (Rear & Trunk)
    (1) JL Audio Stealthbox® (Trunk)
    (1) AudioControl LC2i PRO 2-Channel
    (1) Rockford Fosgate P600X4 Punch 600-Watt 4-Channel Amplifier

The JL Audio Stealthbox is custom built per order and took about a week to get to me, the order from Crutchfield was at my doorstep in two days. I installed everything it over several days little by little. First I swapped all the speakers to just test it out and did not notice much of a difference over stock. I didn't want all voice and no bass so I waited on wiring up the amplifier.

I have a 2022 4Runner and wanted to keep the stock head. You can get a similar sound as the JL Audio Stealthbox for a fraction of the price but what you don't get is the conveniences of having a great sound out of the way keeping 100% of your trunk space. I don't recommend the JL Audio Stealthbox for everyone, probably not for 90% of people but if you want a OEM look with some nice bump you are in the 10% that would enjoy it. This setup is exactly what I wanted and I am extremely happy with the JL Audio Stealthbox.

I have to wire up one last tweeter tomorrow and then I plan on posting a video.

Looks great! I went OEM Audio + but have been thinking about upgrading from dual 8s to the JL 10 or Skar 12 for more bass. I don’t want a massive box and don’t have to melt the hardware off of the car next to me but I just want more of a kick and audio headroom.

I was looking at the dual 8's and considered it but technically lost some of the trunk space and wasn't knowledgeable about there speakers in general.
Personally I'm a Rockford Fosgate guy, I have there complete setup's in 3 of my 4 cars. I was going to swap the shallow JL sub to a Rockford shallow and sell the JL but that didn't make sense once I tested it out. I know a lot of people running Skar and love it, they are still new enough they got something to prove and are competitive with there pricing and provide a great product.

I got the stealthbox for the same reason you did. I wanted 100% trunk space and a stock, clean look, minus the cubby of course. Thanks for posting pics. We love pics.

I fucking the stealth box. So worth it. Glad I did it. Having a sub makes all the difference.

Did you upgrade your head unit?

Skar has been around for a long time. They are a local shop here that manufactures them.
