Hey guys! I live in Northern California and got hit pretty hard with that wind as did my 4runner unfortunately. I was hoping someone could provide some insight on whether or not it’s worth fixing or if I should just salvage it/sell as is?

    it’s an ‘02, with 196,000mi with the V6 and 2wd. 10C49097-EB69-4792-8E75-18C971FD5A22.jpg

It seems to be the only damage sustained. There was a car in front of it that the tree hit that kept the weight off of the truck and keeping the suspension from blowing out.

    Probably totaled.

Body shops hate dealing with replacing roofs.

Best thing is to drag it to a body shop and get an estimate.

If insurance is going to total it and pay you out, then buy it back and part it out. With the mileage and 2WD, I’d vote to salvage it.

Unfortunately it's totaled. It'll get stripped for parts and scrapped. Doesn't take much to total a 3rd gen, especially when it's a 2wd

it will probably get totaled..and sent to the bone yard....where it will be parted out...before going to the crusher. Of course, you could get estimates on the cost of repairing..and you could consider buying the vehicle back...and using settlement money to pay for the repairs, and hopefully, after repairs have been paid for, you just might end up with a little surplus cash. most 2WD GET TOTALED.

100% its totalled.... But there's probably a few 3rd gens with decent roofs in a local junkyard, and everything can be fixed. Sorry for your loss

If the insurance company totals it, buy it back... Because of age, wont even have a salvage title, in NJ at least.
