2017 Magnetic Gray TRD Off Road Premium

We just got a TRD Pro roof rack that came off a 2019 Pro to install on our 2017 Off Road. Anyone done this switch and have any tips or suggestions? The guy who sold it to us suggested using silicon to seal the holes where the bolts go as a precaution to prevent leaking. Hoping the swap goes smoothly.
