Hi I just went to locksmith with my passenger side lock cylinder for him to get me a new key. Been driving using screwdriver in ignition switch with ignition key cylinder removed. No problem until I went to leave the shop. Now though I can engage just as well as always to turn ign switch, car nor accessories would get powered. I had to grab a little speaker wire and jumper the switch from back side of switch. Drove home got new switch. Replaced and look like I didn't do a thorough job testing because new switch h did not solve issue. Thought it might be neutral safety switch gone or some switch. Shoot trying to upload photo

Mine was having problems no lights, or power at all like key wasn’t even in it. Changed the ignition switch and got power back but no start. No signal to starter solenoid. Found an old anti theft device wired in there that had quit passing the signal to starter. It worked just fine before. Never knew it was there, although I always wondered what that black box was. Anyway I know some of those things can be wired in other ways. Got any mystery boxes on your firewall?

Engine ground wires maybe. I’ve noticed someone replaced them on mine. I’m assuming they had an issue or they wouldn’t have bothered beefing them up. Judging from the amount of other obvious issues never addressed. The factory one on the drivers side was all ate up from the oil leaks breaking down the wire housing.
