A major mistake my dealer made resulting in 4 trips BACK to their service depart, with NO resolution! Lots of wasted time and effort!

Do NOT FORGOT to re-install those ORANGE plastic Tabs for the FITCAMX cover housing. That are found in the original windshield TSS cover. Otherwise, your TSS will NOT be secure! One little bump later and your 4Runner dashboard will blow up with collision, headlight and lane departure WARNINGS! Guess how I know?

For nearly 2 months and 4 return trips BACK to the dealer, my TSS sensor was going haywire! The 4Runner would "work" for about 10 - 15 minutes and BAM! All the warning lights flooded my dash! Lucky for me, there was an astute "kid" at the dealer who overhead my issues. He put me in touch with an Auto Glass repair company that knows how to install, test and re-calibrate TSS's on 4Runners. Yes...it costs me $250 because I was at wits end. The Auto Glass company actually came to my house, installed the cover (now with the ORANGE PLASTIC TABS), re-calibrated it, tested it and IT works! They gave me a full report before and after! Once they plugged my 4Runner in, they knew exactly where to look! How about that?

My dealer was giving me the run around for the last 2 months stating the 2" lift kit that THEY installed was likely the culprit. Frankly, they did not know! I wrote to their GM a strong but carefully worded letter about my ordeal and we shall see!

Hopefully my dealer will make amends because they did NOT install the FITCAMX as they promised! I am NOT happy with them as they assured me, "...we got this, we do these things all of the time!"

Again -- Do NOT FORGOT to save/use those ORANGE Plastic Tabs from the 4Runner original cover for the new FITCAMX cover housing. Don't!

Here's a screen shot from a video showing what I am talking about!
