Just got it, lights already on grill. Issue is the lights came on a few times by themselves. Turned off once unassisted, the second, I started it up, made sure all lights, cruise control, doors shut, etc... As far as I can tell they haven't come on again... but can't watch it 24/7 but it is concerning for a new buy. Anyone else with this issue...is there a fix....Is it a warning for a system? Ideas.
    Thanks in advance.

It’s possible that the previous owner wired them to a circuit that comes alive when the truck does an EVAP test when it’s been sitting.

Do they come on and stay on once you turn the key to on?

So I thought I had it solved dilemma with the switches, since I hadn't seen them on. Well tonight they were on again. Played with switches, turned system on without starting..played with switches. Still on. Started engine, Turned engine off, still on. After second start/off lights turned off. I suspect you might be right. Would they have patched in at fusebox? I believe these light are aftermarket, looked at stock photos didn't these lights in any of them. Outside of esthetics I don't see any real use for them, may want to disconnect them all together. Any suggestions? Thanks for your previous reply. Lovin my 4RUNNER

What fuse do they tap into?

Like @whippersnapper02 said, the truck most likely run the evap test which turn them on. I had the same thing happening with my Morimoto DRL. I switched the tap to another fuse and it’s fine now.

Best solution is to remove them. Is it really worth risking a dead battery in the middle of nowhere?

Depending on "how" you want them to come on, will depend on how you wire them. For me, I wired mine using an add-a-fuse to the low beam fuse under the hood. This way, they come on when my low beams are on. You can do them to the fogs, but they will turn off when the high beams come on ( unless you do the always on mod) or to the DRLs. For me, its all lights on or all off. No in between.

Find out where they wired them to so we can help you resolve this.

@DIRTRCR13 ive wired mine on the parking lights so they come on automatically when low beams are on but if I want them in without low beam I just have to switch to parking lights on the stalk which gives me DRL+amber lights w/ raptor lights
They don’t come on when it’s DRL only
