I bought the 4 Runner for my son's first car. The head gasket blew out within a week or two. It was going to be a father son project but he decided not to help with it. Its been sitting in my shop for several years now (8 or 9). Should I repair the old motor or swap in something else? It is a V6. Its now my retirement project I guess. So here I am lurking about for ideas. I'll be checking the forums for sure.

    Welcome!

Sounds like you have a potential project on your hands. You didn't mention the year, but my suggestion is to drop a LS into it. That's always my answer, haha.
