I finally made a move after months of agonizing analysis paralysis and bought myself a TRD ORP in Nautical Blue! I hemmed and hawed about all of its perceived shortcomings but in the end it is what I really wanted, a tough SUV that will be reliable.

I am a big guy, 6'4" with a long torso so I had to get one with no sunroof. I like sunroofs, but there was no way it would work as my head hits the roof. I found a few in my region that had the KDSS and no moonroof. I've been watching the market for awhile and I saw prices starting to come down. I found a white one advertised for 5k off of MSRP, but I really wasn't pumped about white. The blue one I got was two hours away in McMinnville. I called them and asked them if they'd do 5K off and they said yes, it was the 29th of October and they wanted the deal by the end of the month. I think I did pretty well and I'm not looking back!

I just ordered a set of Falkens today, they are giving me $300 credit for the racing slick Duellers. I've been driving a '20 Honda Ridgeline for the last four years. I love it, 70K miles and not a single issue with it. In the last few years I have been venturing further and further into the national forests off the beaten path. I had one too many white knuckle experiences driving the Ridgeline. It is pinstriped quite heavily! It is amazingly capable for what it is, but 7.5 inches of ground clearance isn't going to cut it. I thought about lifting it and putting skid plates on, but I have a wonderful with who told me I should just get something designed for what I want to do! I'm keeping the Ridgeline for a commuter/road-tripper.

Not sure what mods I want to do. I like the stock wheels just fine, and will run it the way it is until I see the need to do something else.

Welcome from Wisconsin! Beautiful country you're from, used to pass thru there on a regular basis on my way to Portland, drove over the road truck. Good luck with the new 4Runner.
