I need some advice on how much to sell my first gen for. I've had this 4Runner for about 5 years and I bought it from a rocket scientist who had rebuilt the engine with his friend who was an aircraft mechanic. The reason why I'm asking for advice is that people sometimes don't appreciate what this vehicle is.

I've done some minor repairs on the suspension and front end. For the most part everything works on it it doesn't have much for aftermarket modifications.

Sadly in vehicle sales it generally does not matter if it was driven hard or just to church on Sundays (least from a dealer standpoint) and aftermarket doesn't mean squat to them either. runners usually hold value and then some so you should beable to get more than one would think, good luck with the sale!

Exactly it's worth more than to me then we'll bluebook for or but I could even insure it for. My insurance company told me if it was wrecked they would probably just total it no matter what was wrong with it and it would only pay me about $1,000 no matter what kind of cover do I put on it.

That's bull, cause they are worth way more then that.

These are all valid questions. Year appears to be 87-89. Repairs? The radiator has been replaced. The previous owner rebuilt the engine. Any receipts for the work performed? How many miles on the chassis? How many on the engine since the rebuild? There's quite a bit of rust. Is there any around the windshield? These trucks develop cancer around that area and it's a deal killer for me every time. Interior looks decent for its age. Dash has the usual cracks. It's an SR-5 cause it has a tach. In my area, for the condition it's in, I'd say it's worth $3500-4000. GLWS!

Great 4Runner! I bought mine, very similar, 1989 4WD 22RE in very similar condition with 330K on it and amazing interior from a guy in Breckenridge for $2700. Body on mine is a bit better bc he kept it in the garage. No rebuild on my engine though.
