    I bought 17x9in wheels with no offset and plan on putting 285/70 tires on my 4Runner. Wondering what lift I’ll need for the set up?

    They will rub no matter how tall the lift.

    Lift doesn't actually clear larger tires on these, they're limited by the size of the wheelwell.

    You'll need to trim some plastic and push the front fender liner forward, and probably also have the body mount chop done.

    Drive straight and never go over a bump and you can clear the tires with a small lift. If you want to truly clear them, listen to @Trail Runnah

    With my experience;

    2.5in front lift with pushing the fender liner will clear 285/70R17 on 17x7.5 (+15 offset) factory wheels on TRD ORP and Limited

    3in front lift with no trimming almost clear 285/70R17 on 17x7 (+15 offset) factory wheels on SR5. After few trail runs it seems to have clear the fender liner it self.LoL.

    I have not removed my mud flaps on any of the 4runners and never will.

    Edit -
    All these instances have sway bar relocation kit and don't have KDSS. Could be a reason why it clears.

    I'm totally fine with trimming and cutting where needed. Just wanting to see what other people did to make theirs work. Did you switch out the control arms for aftermarket? What lift kit did you use?

    I don't think @Trail Runnah is lifted.

    You generally don't need UCA's until you hit around 2 5-3" of lift. But, some aftermarket UCA's pull the tire towards the firewall, making it harder to clear tires.

    There are about a thousand options for lifting. How much money do you want to spend?
