Trying to figure out how to hotwire rear window to go up. I have the tailgate off to do body work on. Does anyone know how I can get the window up by hot wiring it to a battery? Any idea what plug I should use to do this, thanks in advance.

I have my first gen rear window hot wired. I just ran two leads off the plug of the window motor. I use an extra battery to roll it up or down when I need to.

I had a similar problem. Oxidative corrosion on the metal contact points of the door and back glass switches was the problem.
Use “Deoxit D5” from Amazon on the metal contacts of the switches. Q tip to rub the oxidation off. It is a bitch to take all the door panels and arm rest apart to get to the switches, this worked for me and my 1994 4 runner.

Okay so I figured out to hotwire it and got it up and down. I found the wire going into the motor and with wires going to a battery it worked so thank you for the input people, appreciate it, Pandora.
