Hood scoop fitment 4Runner lifestyle

Is this how the factory one fits or am I just being picky ? Of course I didn’t take a picture of the oem one before I took it off. Gasket looks like it seals I just wasn’t expecting a gap like that and it seems like the factory seal had an open gap anyhow. We used their black valances and I was happy with their fitment. @4runnerlifestyle

 

I'm sorry, but that looks terrible. The factory hood scoop (mine, at least) has a gap that is that is the size of the circled section in one of your photos, shown below. And it is the same gap all the way around. That gaping chasm at the top of the 4RL hood scoop is not acceptable in my book. Can you return it?

 

Wrap your stock one with matte black vinyl and return this one. The aftermarket one looks like its warped.

 

That’s just an Aliexpress hood scoop they drop ship and charge 2x, for the privilege.

 

This is spot on. If you see anything branded "4Runner Lifestyle" it is likely just coming from Aliexpress or something similar. Their stealth taillights can readily be found on eBay for 1/2 the price.
