I am preparing to do a hidden winch mount install. For those of you who use a winch with a manual clutch, how have you provided access the clutch lever?

I cut a hole in the upper cover and lined it with trim. I just reach down to the clutch. I've used it quite a few times and it works fine. I've seen people cut holes in the honeycomb grill or something, but I wasn't personally into that.

Yours inspired mine! So thanks for posting up your solution however long ago. Side note: I don't have the access on the left since I'm using a wireless remote, but that may be required for OP.

Thats why I went with the LFD Hybrid bumper - open access to clutch and visual of the winch and rope

LFD was my first choice for access but instead went with a Warn. Not sure what difference would be or if they have for 2020, I have a 2018.

Before cutting holes, try seeing if you can access it from underneath. I can reach the lever on my Smitybilt winch from underneath and didn’t need holes in upper cover. It’s mounted on a Pelfrey built mount.

I also reach underneath to access mine. Warn VR8 on Pelfreybilt mount. I leave the winch plugged in, and it sits in the engine bay in the driver corner. @grizzlypath ’s cut out looks nice.
