Hi From CT

Hi all. I am very excited to be first time 4runner owner. I was not planning on buying or finding a decent deal on a 4runner for at least another year, but about 2 weeks ago I just happened to find this available “in transit” to my local dealer for MSRP. 2022 lunar rock TRD sport for $43,300. Prefer ORP, but other than wheels and suspension, it pretty much has every option that I would want for a great price. Plus, my forester all of the sudden had a ton of problems and I just don’t have time to be dealing with it. I gladly took the $7k trade in I was offered for it. The alternative was putting in $2-3k of work asap (starter, timing belt, ac compressor, headlight wiring, fuel pump, etc.)



A little backstory:

Sold my 2019 Taco MT TRD Sport last year because carmax offered me more than I paid for it brand new >2 years prior. Wife and I started having kids and the 4D taco just didn’t cut it for 2 car seats and we had a 3rd car. Also. I was just completely underwhelmed by the 3.5L v6 with MT vs my 2009 tacoma with the same setup.

This is a really nice looking 4R. I'm not 100% familiar with the Sport's suspension, but I do like the wheels. I know you'll want to change them to smaller wheels/taller tires if you plan to off-road a lot, but the look is really very nice. And being your first 4R, this vehicle will endear itself to you like few others with its stubborn refusal to break. I'm on my third 4Runner, maybe 650k total miles, and they're great vehicles. My current 2019 TRDOR has 92k miles on it and has had nothing but oil/filter changes. Enjoy it!
