Was driving 4Runner, all a sudden I felt a minor thud in break pedal, then brake got stiff and ABS & E-brake light came on. Any suggestions ?

The parking brake light is controlled by a switch that is depressed by the lever, so it is weird it would come on if the lever wasn't moved.

You should check the brake lines and master cylinder for physical damage. I don't have ABS, so any ABS related issues I can't help with.

Maybe the brake booster. Is it cold? They can freeze up, and its a scary thing. Don't know if that would trigger the lights though
