Hi All, First-time poster and new T4R owner. Not a big fan of all the ground effects trim around my 2019 Nighshade edition and as i removed the long strip under the doors to install the nerfs it left some big gaps in the trim. See photos. I would love to add in black trim/molding to replace what's there to fit in above the bars and below the door. I am assuming that these exist for other editions that don't come with all the fancy road plastic. Can anyone steer me toward a source to find these exact pieces? Thanks!!

Shrockworks "Trail" rocker panel is another option which are made of aluminum I believe. Some have cut the stock rocker panels to accomplish the same result.

Has anyone actually removed the door molding to install the SR5/Trail slimmer molding after doing this mod? I just ordered the rear left/right moldings and the 3 step color match spray paint to see how one turns out, just wondering how difficult it’s going to be to remove the stock to replace. If it looks good after I paint one of them I’ll attempt.

The Limited edition offers full-time Multi-Mode 4WD with a 2-speed transfer case and locking center differential. It’s a knob.

I went to a 2 paint shops today to get a quote on painting the 2 trail fender trims, both seemed unsure about trying to match the blizzard Pearl and made me uneasy. Did the body shop you went to have any issues matching the blizzard Pearl when you did your front and rear bumpers? Can you notice at all?

Imho, any paint match is not going to be 100%. There’s always going to be some color difference. With that said, my paint match is ~ 95% depending on the angle of the sun.
But I had the bumper, hood and upper bumper painted all same time. So if you look at it from the front, it all matches. But if you look at the sides where the bumper meets the fender, it’s a bit off. But overall I’m happy with it.

Looks pretty darn good to me. I actually got my order of color match blizzard Pearl spray paint from TouchUp Direct for $110. Comes with a primer, base, mid, and clear coat. I tested it on a piece of plastic I had. As skeptical as I was on the match it literally looks identical. Like I can tell a difference and compared Under multiple types of lighting. Blizzard flakes and all. I have the 2 trail fender moldings I ordered and am going to paint them this week. I ordered the moldings, and all the clips that the Toyota diagram showed, but I just saw I forgot to order the rubber “weather stripping that goes on the moldings before install so will order those today. I also took one of the back inner door panels off and can easily see the clips holding on the limited molding. So the plan is to paint this week, make sure it matches, then I’ll remove the door panel to push the clips out to remove the limited molding just in case the end result of the Trail molding doesn’t work out, so I can put the limited back on. Hope that’s not the case after all this, but as shall see. All in all I’m only $230 invested into the molding job with the parts and paint. Now the time is going to be the biggest expense. I’ll post once completed.

Here’s a pic of the paint match test.

your paint match looks good in the pics. As for mine, I left my truck at the shop for a day. They said blizzard Pearl is a two stage paint then clear. They mixed several different mixtures until they came up with one they matched my truck as best as possible. The of course after prep, paint and back .. they did some sanding to add more color match.

I’m not too familiar with paint for cars, but the kit I got has a base coat that looks like it matches except it doesn’t have the little flakes in it, then you put on the Mid coat and it adds the flakes and more color. Maybe that’s the 2 stage.
