I recently upgraded from my 07 to a 2013 SR5 4Runner. like my old one i upgraded my headlights, fog lights and turn signals with LED's and didn't have the hyper flashing after upgrading the lights.

i just did the same thing with this one and now after about 2 weeks with my upgrade i'm starting to have the hyper flashing when using my signals. i must mentioned that i bought the best lights too 40.00 set with anti-hyper flashing resistors builtin. i just realized today that i forgot to change over the ones from the side mirrors turn signal lights. could that be the cause of the hyper flashing or just bad lights? any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance

What brand turn signal and resistors did you use?

I would return those since you bought them on Amazon. I've has mine for 6 months and no issues with hyper flashing. I installed ENDPAGE 1156. Only con with the ones I bought is that at night it is really bright, almost too bright. lol

I emailed the seller and they're sending the replacement, I like those super bright ones lol. But do you think I'm getting the hyper flashing is because I havent changed the side mirror turn signals lights yet?

Do you mind linking us. These are front turn signals right ? What you have in the rear turn signals ?

Same brand LEDs 7440's both of those weren't cheap. I'd wished I had come across the endpage brand lol

I paid 40 per set because they come with the hyper flashing resistors built in them.

Yep, those are the ones, I installed them on the front and rear turn signals. No flickering or hyper flashing...simple plug n play, no issues... Only thing about these are that they are really really bright. Almost too bright. I think I paid $18-19 for each light on Amazon.

OMG please help this guy figure this out? I just got used to wearing yellow goggles at night for over powered LED’s. Now I have strobe lights to look forward too?

Burnout bulbs changes the resistance thus hyper flash. Adding an led with the wrong resistance also caused hyper flash

so i have gone through my lights, returned the original LED's i had before got some endpage LED's w/built in resistors, which are nice and bright. i did this change yesterday. i changed all my bulbs now. brakes, parking, puddle, turn signals, headlights, fog lights.

now i noticed this morning when the lights are off, no issues, when i turn my lights on all the way it doesnt hyperflash, but if i leave it on the DRL setting or just parking then it hyperflashes??? WTH. this didnt happen on my 07 4runner. im definitely puzzled. no burned out lights that i saw.

any additional advise??? again i have a new to me 2013 4runner SR5.

i appreciate the help in advance.

Your DRL hyper flashes? are you using a resistor for the high beam/DRL?

meaning for the headlights? when the headlights are on it doesnt hyperflash, only with the DRL and or the parking i believe. i double checked again, no burned bulbs either.
my led headlights are seallights LED's, never had issues with them. same for the fog and high beams.

So the DRL hyper flashing? I’m confused...

    and headlights are fine right?

That is because you are under the impression that in DRL mode, the bulb operates in low voltage mode, which most people misunderstand.

The DRL uses the high beam bulb. In DRL mode the high beam bulb is dimmed to half brightness. PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) is used to dim the bulb by switching it on and off rapidly. You can’t see the PWM flicker happen with halogen bulbs because they are slow to respond. LEDs respond really quick so that’s why you see them flicker (hyper flash) when they are used in PWM mode.

Some companies like Xenon Depot offer a LED driver that converts a PWM signal into a lower constant DC voltage so a LED bulb can operate at reduce voltage for DRL with no flickering.

I’m well aware of this. Currently using LEDs for DRL/High Beam w/ resistors. That’s why I asked if resistor was used. It’s one bulb

A resistor does not help with the DRL/a high beam flicker like it does with a LED turn signal bulb because it does not stabilize PWM voltages.

You need a PWM module like this which is more than just a resistor for LED DRLs.

Don’t think so. Using anti flicker resistor and no flicker with my DRL/HB.

i may have to do a brief video for you to see what i'm talking about. when i turn the DRL lights on in the morning, and i use the signals it hyperflashes. or when i turn on the parking lights. this is driving me insane not being able to figure this out. on my 07 4runner never had this issue at all. when i turn my DRL lights, none of my regular lights are on. and again i checked, no bulbs are burned out. video below are of my DRL when on.

may sound like a dumb question here, but they have different turn signals LED's that are both DRL and signals? so this doesnt happen? because my front ones are just the regular anti-hyperflashing turn signals only.
