rsz_unnamed.jpg Need a bit of help. I've exhausted the search function which comes up with plenty of how to's in extending the factory harness.

My question is how to detach or unclip the 2 OEM connectors which go to the OEM 7 pin connector? Before I get mad and get start yanking I am going to take a break and ask the experts. Pic attached on the 2 connectors and connector mount. Thanks!!

Usually they have some tabs you need to push in as you pull them apart.

For this mod I wanted to remove the small harness to solder in connecting wires for the yellow and white wires (reverse hot/ground) and a diode on the positive. Putting auxiliary reverse lights in the bumper which will operate on a switch or reverse operation. Switch is the bluetooth Auxbeam 8 gang switch.

I found a eTrailer page which somewhat showed how. One you have to pry up, the other is more of a tab. Well camouflaged tab lol.
