I am not sure what goes into sizing wheels up to fit. I have 18" Helo wheels with 285/65-18 K02's. Problem is I am carrying the stock spare underneath.

I would like to just buy another K02 and a steel wheel to replace it with but I am unsure as to how to confirm fitment of a steel wheel looking at them online.

Everything I search for and see is for the factory size wheels.

Can any point me in the right direction?

Why not just put a BFG 265/70/17 on your stock spare. It’s the same 31.5x10.5 as the tire you run. Probably not worth the extra money getting the 18 unless you get a matching wheel

Welp, because I didn't think of that. Thank you for giving me a duh moment.

We're taking a trip to the mountains next month and typically I just figure the stock spare will get me where I need to go but we're going to be pretty far from any service so I want something that I can put a hundred or so miles on without worrying.

Looking at BFG's site it looks like I can get a 285/70R17 that is an exact match to what I am running.

I will be going that route.

Thanks again for point me in the right direction!

Not to argue with you but those numbers are incorrect. He would need a 265/75/17 to be the same tire size or a 285/70/17. Sounds like he is taking the 285/70/17 route so should be good.

That’s what I normally look at as well. I must have put 265/65/18 and didn’t catch it.

I actually live closer to Uwharrie. My last name is Harris. I haven’t been on the trails there in years. We do hit the hiking trails.
