Hello from Philly!

Hi all. I am a happy owner of a brand new 2023 TRD Offroad. I m not new to trucks and 4WD vehicles but my last car was a 2016 Lexus ES. Some say it's a step down but the two aren't comparable. Considered GX 460 but never liked it. NX and RX were never on my list. GX-550 is more like it but it will take years to show up, not to mention the $75K price tag. The new Land Cruiser is a show for now and even when it appears it is not a "real" Land Cruiser. In fact, the rush to 4 cylinder turbo hybrid power plants pushed me over the ledge.

So long for now but I will be back with a ton of questions- Brian

Just bought Cabrini, lock, stock and barrel!

 

Yeah, Cabrini apparently went bust due to lack of students, so VU made a deal to acquire the Cabrini and integrate the remaining students and faculty into Villanova. I don't think there is a decision yet on how to use the Cabrini campus. I experienced the same thing with a fully accredited engineering college where I was on the adjunct faculty (taught math and physics with some engineering courses). The student body was overwhelmingly techs from Boeing with a few from Microsoft. When Boeing transitioned from engineering their own products to assembly of components designed and manufactured by outside vendors, their engineering techs were released. That filtered down to the college closing down due to no students.

Thanks Gary! I am not really a Toyota "fan boy." I just buy what I like. My other SUV is an Expedition! I can't deny that the the 4Runner pedigree did not influence my decision. Th GV70 is all the rage these days and it can be had at about the same price point, but the 4 banger was the deal breaker. There is a V6 option but that takes you up to 60 grand. And it looks more like a car than an SUV anyway.
