I never knew this page existed until today, when looking up a dashboard symbol! The symbol was of the vehicle showing the direction of the front wheels. I have no idea how I turned it on, much less how to turn it off! Help!

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
Welcome! I've been down to lower, slower Delaware a couple times. It is nice.

I don't know if the front wheel directional thing is in 2019 or earlier 4Runners, so assuming you've got a 2020 or newer, here's what you've got to do. You don't so much turn it off, by the way. You navigate the menu to where you want it to be. I guess you're going to want to change it to the digital speedometer. Look on the right side of your steering wheel. You'll see a video game style directional pad. It has little arrows pointing in four directions. Use that to navigate to the speedometer. I don't know exactly how many presses in each direction you've got to do to get there, but don't worry. As long as you just press the little arrows, you won't change any settings. You can make it easier on yourself by starting with pressing down until you cycle through all of the options in the section of the menu. If you don't see the speedometer before the menu starts repeating itself, just press right to move to the next menu. Then press down until you either find the speedometer or the menu starts cycling back on itself. Keep repeating until you find the digital speedometer or whatever else it is you want.

Just don't press the button in the center of the directional pad because that's how you enter menus, make selections, etc. If you think you found yourself in a menu and want to go back, look to the lower left of the directional pad. You'll see a little sideways U-shaped arrow. Just press that a few times until you reach the top of the menu structure. Then the above paragraph will work. If you're not sure where you're at and you hit the U-shaped arrow anyway, don't worry. You won't mess anything up. If you're already at the top of the menu structure then pressing that button does nothing at all.

Don't know about the 2016 but for the 2021 it's in the owners manual under "Gauges and meters. In that section it's under the "Multi-Information Display" section. All of this is done with controls on the steering wheel switches and the display is on the dash right behind the streering wheel. Check page 95 of the 2016 owners manual on the Toyota website.

Oh, now I see, 2016 is below your name. In that case, the directional pad is on the left side of the steering wheel, and the little U-shaped arrow is in the lower right of that. I would expect the process to be pretty much the same on a 2016 as it is on a 2020.
