Hey all, glad to join the forums after reading all 218 pages on “what have you done to yOur 5th gen today” and getting a lot of ideas and good tips.
I have a 2016 SR5 premium with what they called a t-force package. I’ve removed some of the more annoying parts (skid plate and roof rack) and upgraded a few parts. Started with Ellis precision shifter and dbcustomz lower grille. Then I modified my old FJs pet barrier from springtail solutions. I also upgraded the fogs to Phillip LEDs and low beams to xenon depot HIDs. The last mods I’ve done are Aiden James DRL fog bezels, black stainless exhaust tip, and TRD skid plate. After reading the forum I added a cellphone magnetic holder and a tpm reader.

I don’t do a lot of off roading yet and this is my daily driver and pet transport. Love Toyota since I bought an old fj to transport my dog, enough that I gave up my bmw and FJ to upgrade to a 4runner.

Anyways look forward to learning more, asking questions, and upgrading my 4Runner. My next projects will hopefully be LED high beam/DRL upgrade and TRD wheels (not sure If grey or black?)

    Congratulations on the T4R!
May I suggest gray. Black on black is just too much black for me. This is our 2019 MBM TRD off road premium. Came with the wheels. We absolutely love this truck! We added the tires @ 700 miles!
Look forward to your build. 20190913_193006.jpg facebook_1557808848372_8938562894413851.jpg

Milwaukee County too, near the airport. Moved up here about 5 months ago. Probably the only 4Runner in the area with Texas plates

Thanks I am leaning towards gray!

Welcome! New here, myself. Germantown here (northwest of MKE a smidge). My 4Runner is a whoppin' 2 weeks old this past weekend. I'm enjoying the vehicle and the upgrade/update process. Did a couple of simple black-out items this weekend and happy with the results. Onward and upward!

    Welcome, Chris! Nice color choice!

FYI guys, I'm getting together with some guys from Tacomaworld on November 9th at Potosi brewery to get lunch and run the Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail from Potosi to Lansing, IA. also going to do some cruising around the lower Wisconsin River area that Sunday. Let me know if either of you are interested.

Also, there's talk of a southeastern Wisconsin get together just for beers and BS. No details on that one yet.

Here's my truck, in case you see me around.

Oh my... that's a fine looking rig ya have there :)

The TW*T is on my list of things to do. Probably my first ever 4WD-ish type of adventure, even though this is my second 4WD vehicle. YouTube is a horrible addiction for a guy who has a new 4Runner...

    Thank you!

You're more than welcome to join us!

I've been through about 75% of it, and so far the section from Prairie Du Chein to Lansing, IA has been the most interesting. The section between Potosi and Prairie Du Chein has some good scenery, including the overhanging rocks where everyone takes pictures. It's a fun ride, but not challenging.

I'm also thinking of hitting the Pipeline in mid-late November, which is the most interesting and challenging area I've found in Wisconsin. That is also open to others if anyone is interested in coming. No definitely plan yet there.

Let me know if you're interested. I'm usually the only 4runner on these things!

Edit: I'm interested in how you blacked out the rear bumper trim. I fell into a black front insert, but the rear is still silver. I'm trying to figure out the best way to make it match.

Nothing spectacular. Just 20 minutes, some masking tape, and a rattle can of PlastiDip. ;)

Appreciate the offer to join in. Looking forward to the opportunity soon!

The front bumper was done the same way. Just took the license plate off first. :)

I might give that a shot. I'm trying to eliminate all of the silver. It looks good.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys and glad to find other 4runners In WI. You guys have great 4runners! Nice builds. I’d be up to a get together sometime in the near future for sure. Haven’t seen to many 4runners around, not as much as in Texas. Hope you all are having a good start to the week.

I'll try to post any Tacomaworld events on the Wisconsin regional thread here.

We had a camping trip in September and 11 trucks hit the Pipeline. It was a great weekend, and I plan to do it again next year.

I'm looking forward to having some other 4runners at these things!
