    Just wanted to introduce myself, I've owned a 1997 4Runner Limited 4X4 for close to 7 years, and recently acquired a 1987 4Runner SR5 4X4.

Made a lot of mods to the 3rd Gen over the years, but am trying to keep the 1st Gen mostly stock, other than fixing the butchery of previous owners.

Got a big smile on my face reading your post! Those are both fine examples of 26 & 35 year old 4Runners, respectively. That 3.4 V6 engine is one of Toyotas Crown Jewels. I’m assuming they’re both garaged. Welcome to the forum!

Thank you! Yes, both were garaged until we moved to a place with no garage - so until we build a garage/workshop, these babies will be out in the rain :(.

Nice attention to detail on your rigs. Love seeing this level of care.

Very nice! I had a 1988 that I bought new and put over 300,000 miles on. That 22R-E engine is incredibly reliable. How many miles on these?

Barely broken in - 213K on the 3rd Gen, and 245K on the 1st Gen :).

Thanks for the great welcome! These two 4Runners are my babies, I really enjoy tinkering with them and keeping them on the road (or off-road :)). I also use them to prototype new products for the Spiker Engineering lineup. Keeps me quite busy!
