SRQ fabrications 3” lift completely rebuilt front end Toyota lower ball joints, freedom off-road uca, moog lca, SRQ extended sway bar links, JDM motor swap with 50k on it, 300+k miles on chassis, roof light bar, extended steel braided brake lines, rebuilt rear drums all brand new components, she’s a work in progress. Next up is front and rear bumper upgrades, snorkel, winch, new tires soon and last on list will be a fresh wrap over top of the California sun baked paint (I want it known I do not live in Cali, I’m in northern Michigan, thank God, lol). This rig has been a passion project for my wife and I over the past couple years, we work and live on the road out of my semi truck pulling oversized loads so we only get so much time to contribute to the ole girl, but we love it and it’s been a great learning experience for us to do together.
My name is John I’m 35 I live in northern Michigan.

I have a 1997 sr5 from California with absolutely zero rust on it. It has roughly 300k+ on the chassis and around 55k fresh JDM motor swap I did a couple years ago with my wife.

We’ve been doing a complete rebuild on it for the past 2 years in our pole barn. My wife and I pull oversized loads I drive truck and she pilots so the rebuild has taken us longer than expected.

We’ve done a 3” SRQ fabrications lift with 5100 bilstien long travel with heavier springs to accommodate all the added weight from camping equipment and the planned bumpers and winch in the near future. I chose freedom off-road UCA’s moog LCA’s oem LBJ’s, SRQ extended sway bar links, extended steel braided brake lines, full rebuild on the front caliper pistons and rear drums, cat deleted with a straight pipe that runs to a flowmaster super 44.

We currently have the interior stripped out and are laying sound deadening material down across the floor boards to soak up some of that flowmaster . And will be replacing the old cloth seats with a like new seat of leather seats.

There’sa bunch of other things on my to-so list but we’ve just about got it to the point of putting it back on the road. It’s literally been in our pole barn for the past couple years as we slowly get it put together, my wife and I pull oversized loads so we’re on the road most of the year away from home…

it’s been a passion project and we’ve learned a lot along the way. I’m excited to have joined another community of like minded Toyota people to bounce ideas off, learn from, and talk to about anything and everything Toyota!

Thanks for the ad! I look forward to contributing to the community!!!

    Oooh look, another mod.....
I was going to doubt your "Zero Rust" claim, then I remembered you're in California. The climate in that state is ideal for long-term preservation for vehicles.

We'd love to see pictures of it!
