The relay and fuse should be in the fuse box under the hood, look in your owner's manual it should tell you exactly which ones and where in the box they are.

I have a 4th Gen and I'm not as familiar with the 5th Gen fuse box, but if it's like the 4th Gen there's a upper and lower section to the fuse box, so they maybe in the lower section.

I’ve never thought of it as a de-icer. More of a wiper warmer. Keeps the blade kinda soft so it does a better job clearing. Maybe.

The defroster does a much better job of de-icing than the wiper warmer in my experience.

I’ve also read some reports of cracked glass when using the de-icer when temps are too cold.

Ideally, I'd use the de-icer when the wiper is frozen to the window. That's a condition I mostly avoid in typical NJ fashion by flipping my wipers up when parked outside and weather is coming.

I hope the OP's problem is just the fuse.

How do you know it’s not working? Just curious. I assume mine is working, but I’ve never been able to feel heat on the glass.

As I stated above...."I have a 4th Gen and I'm not as familiar with the 5th Gen fuse box, but if it's like the 4th Gen there's a upper and lower section to the fuse box, so they maybe in the lower section."

I didn't say there were sections side by side, I said a upper and lower sections, the upper section is screwed to the lower section and it has to be unscrewed to access the lower section...but again I this is how the 4th Gen is and I would guess it's the same for a 5th Gen.

Someone else will have to reply to help you further or you can do a search of the forum or Google for more info, that what I did to find the diagram I posted above to try and help you, now you need to do a little research yourself and read your owner's manual if you haven't done so, it has info on the fusess in it.
