I thought it was my driver side headrest making a slight buzzing rattle noise but turns out it’s right above my head in the headliner when I press on it the noise immediately stops. You can also hear it briefly when you close the driver door. Taking it in to the stealership but any ideas? 22 orp with less than 3k miles. Feel like I definitely got a Covid build (my 3rd 5th gen)already noticed a few minor things none of my other 5th gens had. I know Toyota said they’re using parts now that they wouldn’t have before

Hey Pavo, I had a similar issue in my 22 ORP with 3k miles - clicking over the driver’s head over small bumps that continuously got louder. Had the dealership remove the headliner & they found multiple loose bolts in the sunroof. Unfortunately, the tech didn’t fix the issue & apparently also didn’t put things back together correctly as multiple pillars now crack/click over every single bump.

I’m with you on the covid build quality - I’ve had some other smaller cosmetic issues & an undiagnosed suspension squeak that the dealership can’t figure out. Having to get Toyota corporate involved as now the dealership is saying that these “are all normal characteristics of the vehicle.”

dang super bummed for you and me, this rig was supposed to be my dream build but I’ll dump it if they can’t fix it. Rattles are a deal breaker on a brand new car.

my gf bought a brand new 2021 rav4 which is turning out to be a turd as well before that she had a made in Japan 2005 Corolla she bought with a salvage title, that car had zero problems and she deeply regrets selling it and deeply regrets buying her rav4. I’ve owned about 15 tacomas 4Runners and tundras this rig is most likely last Toyota I’ll buy
