I'm trying to have the hatchback dent repaired using PDR and am being told that there is a "sound deadening panel" bonded to the inside, which might prevent a successful PDR. Does anyone have some knowledge of this?

It’s probably the same stuff that’s on the bottom of the floor. It can be removed with dry ice.

Yes, it looks like peel and stick foam with some fancy covering on it. I talked to another PDR guy and he said no problem, though the foam might get damaged or have to be removed. No problem I just don't want my 7000 mile T4R to have a repainted liftgate if possible.
