I know this has been talked about at nauseam, but I was picking up a new bulb for my Sequoia.

It uses the same H11 as the 4Runner, but I didn’t really pay attention in the past that I’ve been buying the H11 XTRAVISION.

I wonder if this would improve the headlights on the 4Runner which is the chief complaint.

I’m betting that the vehicle comes with basic H11’s. The XTRAVISION may improve and still remain stock. It has a rated service life of 230 hours vs the basic which is 270 hours.
I know many of you have gone to the H9.
I’m thinking once my original bulbs burn out, I may try these.

Sounds like them trying to make it sound cool as a sales pitch.

Maybe, although I remember trying the Sylvania Silver Star sealed beams in my Tacoma years ago and they were significantly brighter than the stock ones. BUT, they didn’t last half as long as the regular sealed beams so I stopped buying them.

I'm sure anything is brighter than stock and does burn out faster. Just funny how they think of all these fancy names.

I think I'm running these, and yeah I did notice that they do seem a little brighter than the stock beams. I replaced them back in September, so I don't know how long they're going to last. I used to run Silver Stars on my ZJ, but they burnt out way too quickly.

    Thank you for the info.

It would be nice to be a little brighter, I just don’t want to be “that guy” who blinds oncoming drivers.

I run the Osram Nightbreakers as well. I really have no complaints. For all of the complaining about these headlights, I have no urge to upgrade beyond the Osrams.

I also run Osram Nightbreaker unlimited high beams, and I'm very happy with them.
