    Nothing yet!
I just got into a 2023 SR5 up here in WI. I’m considering adding a grill to the front as a bit of protection for the front end from deer. Believe it or not around us up here hitting deer is a regular occurrence! Lol

Anyway, the dealership people told me adding a grill will affect the collision warning system and they wouldn’t recommend it.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Or perhaps have some ideas of some grills that wouldn’t affect this? It’s more about protecting the corners/headlight areas but obviously the front as well.

Thanks in advance, I appreciate the insights!

Too poor to buy anything now
Be careful in your selection. Some will cause more damage than none at all.

If you want actual protection from deer, you'll want a full steel bumper that actually bolts to the frame. I've been eyeing up the Coastal Off-road bumper ever since my incident last October.

That said, I hit another this past summer square with the steel bumper and had almost 0 damage.

The thing about brush guards (which I think you're referring to) is they mount underneath, and that's never going to be as strong of protection as, say, welded on hoops on a steel bumper. The top part of brush guards, where they might have loops that go around the headlights, only offer the amount of protection that the underneath mounting system allows, plus the strength of the material the hoops are made of. It seems like an animal hit to the area near the top of the headlights, at least at highway speeds, would use that portion of the brush guard hoop to destroy the headlight and a lot of the area around it on both sides.
