22 TRD of road converted grill to trd pro style. Please see photo. Seems that the radiator to grill is too short

Is that an OEM part or a Chinese take off?

if everything else looks good and bolts up just put a piece of flat stock with 2 holes in it to bridge the gap and bolt it in.

Maybe that grill insert isn’t seated in correctly. I don’t recall others having the same problem. Hopefully someone on this forum with the same upgrade will chime in.

    It does look good.

Everything seems to be perfect except that. It’s almost like the other bracket needs to be changed out to be longer

I thought about that too but in the picture it does look to be fitting good.

Everything should line back up. I had some tabs that I had to slide over that previously clicked in. After that, mine went smooth.

Measure that tab on the old one you took out and see if it is the same length.

Send it back if it’s doesn’t fit. I have a venture (basically an ORP) and had zero issues with things lining up

Take a deep breath ... exhale
Just take a moment to measure the tab length that does not go in place compare it to your original one and if the same it is possible misaligned something take time to redo it if it is shorter and everything else look and fits good it is not a big deal to make a little flat bracket to bridge the gap and be done with it that is what I would do but you can always return it and hope for the next to fit but??

Just wondering if you were able to figure out what the issue was? I have an oem TRD Pro grill on the way for my '22 TRD ORP.

Also looking for opinions. Is isopropyl alcohol to clean the surface of the painted piece that receives 'garnish' sufficient? Or should I use an adhesive primer?

Alcohol to clean the surface will be fine.
