None yet, just got her, getting her road worthy
Recently picked a 97 4Runner for a build. Body is in great shape, no rust on frame. Ole girl has 257,000 miles. Currently replacing water pump and Timing belt. Also appears to be a head gasket leak, using antifreeze. With all that said, with the mileage just going thru all major wear items to make a solid mochine. Did I say I picked ole girl up for $500 bucks from a tow lot. More to come39860D11-AB7D-4BA1-BD82-9FEB740401BE.jpg

Congrats on the new project car!

If you need to replace the head gaskets, you might want to do it at the same time you do the timing belt kit. and you might as well as replace all the cooling system hoses and other miscellaneous items. just a thought...

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
    Welcome from Oregon!
    Enjoy the new Toy.
I had to replace the head gasket on my 87 4Runner. 22RE, MT, 4WD. Only one head gasket, where you have 2, I realize.
"Friend" of mine borrowed the truck for the day, threw the water pump belt, and drove it back. Cracked the head, blew the gasket, lotsa fun. Idiot. I had a replacement belt, and all the tools he needed, in the back. All he needed to do was spend 30 min putting the new belt on, problem solved.

    Anywho, have fun!
