A friend of mine and I were going to do a 1 week surfing trip in Baja but for various reasons we no longer want to go there. We're both in CA and looking for an equivalent "adventure" overlanding trip that lasts 1 week and ideally offers plenty of hiking. Surfing was an ideal overlanding activity as we'd just find beaches but looking for good alternatives with hiking (or anything else) as our activity. Ideally national parks that have good dispersed camping nearby. We've already done Zion and Grand Canyon. Maybe Yellowstone and Glacier NPs? Anyone have any recommendations?
