Got the new Venture with HT stock tires. Is it possible to drive this on the beach after airing down? I just find it a waste to switch it out to AT for now, only have 700miles on it. Thanks.

You should be fine with a little common sense.

It's not hard to sell stock tires when they are new. I have no experience with stock tires as I sold them right after I bought mine. I post them on FB market place and Craigslist.

Stock tires don't look like much but do pretty well in the sand if you stay on harder pack. Air down, don't go somewhere alone if you're not sure, and consider the tides when you traverse a place so you're not stranded when high tide rolls back in.

Thanks for the tips. Yeah I’m not planning anything crazy, just driving down to a fishing spot. From what Ive read there are somewhat designated areas/lanes to where you’re allowed to drive into, so I’m assuming the sand should be packed.

Yea in those cases you'll likely be just fine. I would, however, bring you a tow strap. You might need it. You might find someone else needs it. Either way, cheap insurance.

*NOTE* If you pull someone else out. DO NOT DO IT IN REVERSE. That gear is not meant for shock loads.

Best advice is to always air down to @20lbs, bring a tow strap, a shovel, unditching boards, and a piece of wood suitable as a base for a jack. Don't always count on the sand to be packed down or consistent from one area to the next. Its sand for god's sake.

Good luck and have fun. The HT tires will be fine - an overly aggressive tire tread can get you into trouble.

Good point about the sand, they always shift. I got all mentioned recovery gear aside the track pads. Still researching for a decent one aside from max trax. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks.
