Bought with head removed. Trying to fix all the wires cut under the hood because some idiot didn't know how to unplug them! Like 40 fixed still more.
    Hello,

Very glad to be here as I bought a 1997 4Runner 2.7L, which had a burnt valve. Against advice I'd have given to people many times I bought it with the head removed. I paid $400 for it (clean title, clean body, clean interior) with 147k on the odometer. The wannabe "mechanic" that disassembled it cut every plug in the engine compartment rather than unplug them (the reason I'm here). Browsed site a little and looks like a promising source of information. This is my first Toyota to own but not work on. I guess I'll be fluent in engine compartment wiring by the time I get it running. Deal looked too good to be true, I know why now. Looking forward to interacting with people here to pick your brains. =)

Welcome from Wisconsin! I'd be glad to help with electrical, but, electrical is the one thing I have lots of trouble with also. Some on the forum are really good with electrical, hopefully 1 of them see your post. Good luck. Also try the 'search' box in the upper right corner.

Welcome. For help i would say give more info. Are the wires cut without any length to strip and reconnect them? Info like that. I'm sure someone has done an engine swap that has ran into that before.
