Get in..Start Engine...if dark out parking lights come on...Am I dreaming?

One of my 4R's is a 2004 V8 Sport and now it has me perplexed..sometime ago (no battery disconnects...just cold out now) I would start it up and in about 20-seconds my parking lights would come on when dark out even if light swich was OFF. This is not happening any more and seems to have been 'replaced' with maybe a default of my parking lights going OFF when I shut the engine off even with light swich in parking lights ON position...which did not happen when I remeber having my parking lights come on when dark out. Parking at night I recall having to flip lights OFF with enginge and ignition OFF. Only my parking lights were 'timed' to turn OFF after about one-minute...headlights would have stayed ON if swich ON until battery fail.

Maybe it's this simple and you guys can tell me it's tied to this...I did reprogram a regular fob remote. I can almost say this parking light mystery started about the same time but uncertain. The 4R did have an operational older Viper alarm with remote start installed and working. And right now the Viper seems to be over-riden by the programming of a new regular remote. But...I don't see how a Viper alarm would link to an OEM automatic photoelectric sensor lights operation and shut-OFF any lighting beyond the lights blinks when operating the alarm. The Viper seems 'mechanically' still operational but I have not checked it with the older Viper remote lately.

The 4R has the OEM light sensor on dash by windshield as many do. It does not have DRL option I've even seen working.
