    Hey all.
I posted before about recommendations for different types of items and I'm sure gaskets was among them, but I'm still looking for some input.
From everything I've read leaky valve cover gaskets are somewhat common, at least on the third gen.
I'm getting ready to have a bit of work done, timing belt water pump Etc, and I wonder if anyone has a specific recommendation for valve cover gaskets.
I am planning on using only genuine Toyota parts for anything mechanical.
However if this leak is common then maybe it's best to use another brand gasket.
As always, any input is much appreciated.

Use the Toyota brand, the leak is common because they are all 20+ years old not because of poor quality

It’s not just the valve covers. It’s the spark plug holes, some cam plugs on the back of head. Ask me how I know this? Because they charged me $400 then it still leaked and they charged me $400 more.

Don’t be get me wrong I’m happy with this dealerships work. The tire shop tried to give me a quote for an axle seal and I told them it’s the valve cover leaking down.
