I don't have much to say, but today was my first oil change with the Fumoto valve I installed last time and MAN that makes life easy! haha I was indecisive before buying it and just couldn't decide if it was worth it, but I decided to give it a go and installed it 5k miles ago. Today I found out it was well worth the ~$30. I went with the short nipple version for anyone wondering.

Did you have a hose connected? Did it control the splashing well?

I just did my 2nd oil change with the fumoto valve. I didn't use the nipple with the hose. I just flipped the lever and let it drain. No splash or mess. Don't know why I didn't get one sooner.......

They do work well, make sure you torque the valve to the specified setting. I believe it is 18 ft/lbs.

Since this was the first change with it, I tried both, and used a generic hose I had laying around cut to about ~8inch which worked really well to go direct into my catch jug opening.

I asked Santa for the ValvoMax Stainless Quick Twist Valve for Christmas this year! We'll see if she....I mean he gets it for me. :)

Tbh when I installed I just tightened it “pretty tight” without going too hard. I probably should install to spec.

Oh another note bc this was a common research question I had when I was searching… after draining was completely finished I actually removed the Fumoto to see how much more oil came out and it was almost nothing at all which felt comforting.

Now if only you didn't have to remove a skid plate and dick around with a cartridge filter...

I'm using RCI skids and just changed oil,the access plate allows for easy removal of the filter after draining it.

Glad to hear more good reviews. As soon as the dealer does my last free oil change I'll be installing one of these when it's time for the next.
